Greenway Crossing Montessori is a small pre- and elementary school, serving children in the following programs:
· 6 weeks – 18 months - Infant Program
· 18 months – 2 ½ years old - Toddler Program
· 2 ½ - 6 years old - Primary Program
· 6 – 12 years old – Lower and upper Elementary Program
Our school offers part or full-day programs. The school is open between 6:30 am to 6:00 pm week days. We provide an Extended Day Program, for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, o for ages 4 ½ - 6 years old with a more advanced curriculum in order to prepare them for kindergarten and 1st grade. Each classroom has an English and Spanish speaking teacher, so that children can communicate in their native language along with learning a new one.
Competition is replaced by co-operation. Teachers stress the understanding of concepts rather than the memorization of facts. And children are encouraged to follow their own personal interests through a world of discovery and learning. We believe the size of the school gives each child a better opportunity to develop a defined-preparedness for their own future. We also believe that our friendly-size allows for enhanced familial connections between teacher, children and parents; this promotes feelings of connectedness in the child’s life.
